Eupatorium greggi
- the Texas Mist Flower, imported by us from USA. It is also known as Ageratina greggii or Conoclinium greggii and is a semi- to non-hardy species in Britain - though it will stand in a tub in our unheated greenhouse (goes down to freezing point) all winter and sprout again next spring. However, it then takes a long time to come into flower - better to keep it a bit warmer in winter and spring, then you will get the lovely blue fuzzy flowers on long stems (some trail over the edge if in a patio pot). The leaves are also attractively crimped. Perennial, clump-forming. Likes most soils, but doesn't like to get too dry. Feed well regularly in flowering season.
