Queen's Tears

 Bilbergia nutans Also known as the 'friendship plant' because it is often given to a good friend for rememberance. It is a  spectacular member of the Bromeliad family when in flower around Christmas time - the rest of the year a good spikey, dark green leaf - easy-care, for  background foliage - grows into a clump about 3 foot high after several years.
