A tall, airy elegant plant with many purple flowers on stiff stems that you can see other plants through. It is a hardy perennial, but rather short lived, so you may find you need to replace it every two or three years, depending on your garden conditions. Late flowering and attractive to many butterflies and bees; another addition to the autumn border that goes very well with Eupatoriums and grasses.
One season's growth medium-sized plants currently available to pot on for bigger displays next year.
