The wonderful, dramatic red-leaved banana makes a fabulous statement in any garden. Easy to grow in a large pot or bucket that can be sunken amongst your other plants, and then be carried into a polytunnel, or just brought inside the house for the winter.
I have discovered a way to propagate from the one I had that has darker red leaves, but please be aware that not all these offspring will necessarily have the same amount of redness in the leaves as they get older. I have also found it gets bleached out in strong sunlight. Each plant is slightly different, in a 6 inch pot, and will grow fast once the weather temperature warms up.
