Everyone knows Buddleia/Buddleja is the best nectar flower for adult butterflies and honey bees, bumble bees and other beneficial insects, but the usual daviddii species only flower for about 3 weeks in late July. This special collection of 5 species and varieites includes one to flower in May (yellow globosa), one to flower in June (just discovered -a deep purple daviddii shown in the large photo), one flowering in July (bluish silver 'Lochinch' reddish-purple 'Royal Red'), one for August to September (lilac coloured 'Beijing') and one that will flower from August to October or even November in a mild winter (yellow long-panicled weyeriana 'Golden Glow').
Flowering times may vary a little in the first year of growth and in different parts of the country. Buddleias can form large shrubs very quickly, but can be cut hard back in early spring to keep them in check. Full instructions sent with every order.
