This 4-panel concertina folded chart is lighter to carry on walks than a book. It has only the species that you will see in North Wales and Northern England (including the Midlands), so that it is easier to pinpoint the which ones you actually will see. The chart is laminated so that it withstands wetting and dirt. On the reverse there are detailed descriptions of the diagnostic features to look for in each species, their larval foodplants as well as a flight period table for the north of the country. (The books are often written by Southerners!)
The chart is beautifully illustrated by detailed paintings by one of our best wildlife artists, Richard Lewington, and was designed to be used on training courses for environmental professionals as well as members of the public. for more information about training courses email Jan@7wells.org
