Greater Bird's foot trefoil
Lotus pedunculatus (syn uligonosus) Very similar to common Bird's foot Trefoil, but with longer, hollow stems, so that it competes with tall grass in a wildflower meadow better. Could also be the larval foodplant for Common Blue and other species that use Common BFT (Lotus corniculatus) but this is not certain. It is however very attractive nectar to this species and Large and Small Skippers and Small Coppers in our meadows.
