Lady's Bedstraw
Gallium verum Hardy Perennial for reds and yellows,
A native wildflower with several ancient uses - used for stuffing mattresses, hence it's name: the flowers and leaves give a good yellow natural dye, and the roots give a wide range of redS . It also is the larval foodplant for many species of moth.
Part to use for dyeing;leaves, flowers and stems when in flower, for yellow.
Roots for reds, rust and corals, depending on Mordant and concentration.
