What a great idea!  seen at the RSPB reserve at Conwy - they had a Christmas fair where they provided materials for children to make their own bird-feeding decorations to put on a Christmas tree growing outside the visitor centre. Here are some of their ideas you could copy - we are not selling these, but just thought you'd like to share the idea. Send us photos of your ideas to add! what about ivy garlands with coloured berries and nuts and fat?

It is tempting to incorporate glitter and tinsel - but don't forget the birds will have to eat it, so don't put in anything not safe for them to eat. Best to wire the attachments onto the tree branch so that they don't blow off in the wind and so that the bigger birds don't fly away with the whole decoration!
