Yellow Rattle
Rhinanthus minor a semi-parasite on grass, thereby reducing the vigour of grasses in a meadow and giving wildflowers a chance. I was the first person to notice this and published the details in my book 'Gardening for Butterflies, bees and other beneficial insects' in 2010. Since then it has become widely used. I offer 3 plugs with 2 or 3 little seedlings of Yelow Rattle together with a root of grass on which it is feeding. Plant the whole pulgs straight out into your wildflower meadow ad water in. they will soon grow, flower and seed into the rest of your meadow. Much easier than trying with dried seed which has a very short lifetime, and has to be scarified all through winter before it will germinate.
